Sizing, made simple.

One rule: order the belt that includes your pants waist. If you're between sizes, size up.

Order the belt size that includes your pants waist. That's the whole rule.

If your pants waist is… …order this belt
30 – 3232" – 34"
33 – 3636" – 38"
37 – 4040" – 42"
41 – 4444" – 46"

On a boundary (waist 35, 37, or 39)? Order the bigger band. It sits with room to spare. You can trim a belt or punch a hole, but you can't add length.

Every belt has 7 holes. The size you order is the middle hole, with three inches of room either way −3" −2" −1" the size you order +1" +2" +3"

Every belt has 7 holes, so the size you order gives you 3 inches of room in either direction. You don't have to be exact.

Don't know your pants size?

Grab a belt you already wear. Measure from the buckle fold to the hole you actually use. That inch number is your belt size.

Wrong size? Free exchange.

Order with confidence. We'll swap it for the right size free within 30 days, across Canada and the US.

III The mathLong-term cost

Why cheap belts cost more.

      VI FAQCommon questions

      Questions, answered straight.

How do I pick the right size?

Tap “Size guide” next to the Add to Cart button. Quick rule: your pants size determines your belt size. A 34-waist orders the 32–34 belt. If you're between sizes, size up. Free 30-day exchange if it's wrong.

How does the Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal work?

Add 2 belts to your cart (same belt or different models) and the lower-priced belt comes off free automatically at checkout. No code needed. Buy 4 and 2 are free; 6 and 3 are free.

Will the belt fit through standard pant loops?

Yes. The belt is 1.5 inches (38mm) wide, standard for jeans, chinos, and most dress trousers. Fits every common belt loop including 5-pocket denim. For super-fitted dress trousers with very narrow loops (under 1.5"), check the loop width on your trousers first. Most off-the-rack dress pants accommodate 1.5" without issue.

Buying as a gift but don't know their size?

Two options. First, measure one of their belts and use the "measure your favorite belt" method in the size guide (works without their waist measurement). Second, order any size and include a gift receipt at checkout. We'll send a Bellvari gift receipt that lets them swap free without a payment refund showing on your card.

      What's the buckle made of?

An antique brass 40mm single-prong buckle. It unscrews from the strap with two Chicago screws, so you can swap or replace it without retiring the belt. If you have a specific metal sensitivity, email us before ordering and we'll help.

Can I shorten the belt myself?

Yes. The buckle is held on by two Chicago screws. Unscrew them, trim the leather to length with a sharp knife or scissors, then screw the buckle back on. Takes 5 minutes. Or take it to any cobbler for a $5 trim.

Will it feel stiff at first?

Yes. This is a firm 4.2 mm full-grain strap, so it's stiff out of the box. It softens within 2–3 weeks of daily wear. The printed pattern deepens visually as the leather develops a patina.

What does this belt pair with?

The Western pattern pairs with raw denim, brown leather boots (especially Western or chukka), chambray and flannel work shirts, and ranch-style outerwear. It reads heritage Americana. Strong with country and rugged styling, less ideal with formal urban wear.

How does the leather age over time?

Full-grain leather darkens at the wear points (the buckle hole you use most, the bend through the loop) and lightens where it flexes. After a year, the belt has a unique patina that maps to how YOU wear it. After five years, it's heirloom-grade. The first scuff is the worst it'll ever look.

How do I care for it?

Wipe with a dry cloth as needed. Condition every 6 months with a quality full-grain leather conditioner. If wet, blot dry and air-dry naturally. Avoid prolonged direct sun or extreme heat.

      Is it water-resistant?

Light splashes are fine. The leather has natural water resistance. It is not waterproof, so don't soak it. If it gets caught in heavy rain, blot with a soft cloth and let it air-dry naturally. Do not apply heat (no hairdryers, no radiators).

      Shipping & returns?

Free shipping on every order across Canada and the US, no minimum. Ships in 1–2 business days from our Ontario workshop. Free size exchanges within 30 days. For a refund, return within 30 days and you pay the return postage. Lifetime warranty thereafter for defects.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Lifetime against manufacturing defects. Does not cover normal wear, misuse, accidental damage, or cosmetic aging of leather. Repair or replacement, our choice.
