On a boundary (waist 35, 37, or 39)? Order the bigger band. It sits with room to spare. You can trim a belt or punch a hole, but you can't add length.
Every belt has 7 holes, so the size you order gives you 3 inches of room in either direction. You don't have to be exact.

How do I pick the right size?
Tap “Size guide” next to the Add to Cart button. Quick rule: your pants size determines your belt size. A 38-waist orders the 36–38 belt. The Forge is sized 28–50, six size ranges. If you're between sizes, size up.
How does the Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal work?
Add 2 belts to your cart (same belt or different models) and the lower-priced belt comes off free automatically at checkout. No code needed. Buy 4 and 2 are free; 6 and 3 are free.
Will the belt fit through standard pant loops?
Yes. The belt is 1.25 inches (32mm) wide. That's a dress width that fits jeans, chinos, and dress trousers, including 5-pocket denim. It slips through narrow dress-trouser loops that wider belts won't.
Buying as a gift but don't know their size?
Two options. First: sneak a peek at one of their belts and use the "measure your favorite belt" method in the size guide (works without their waist measurement). Second: order any size and include a gift receipt at checkout. We'll send a Bellvari gift receipt that lets them swap free without a payment refund showing on your card.
What's the buckle made of?
A 35mm single-prong buckle in a polished nickel finish, stitched to the strap. If you have a specific metal sensitivity, email us before ordering and we'll help.
Can I shorten the belt myself?
On the Forge the buckle is stitched to the strap, so shortening is a job for a cobbler. Take it to any shop and they'll trim it to length for a few dollars. Most orders don't need it. Order by the sizing rule above and it fits out of the box.
Will it feel stiff at first?
Almost zero break-in. Distressed leather is pre-conditioned at the workshop, so it's already broken in to start. Wear it once and it feels like you've had it for years.
What does this belt pair with?
The distressed cognac tone pairs with brown work boots, chinos, raw denim, chambray shirts, and rugged outerwear. Looks at home in a workshop, on a job site, or on a weekend hike. It runs less formal, so it's not the right pick for a suit.
How does the leather age over time?
Full-grain leather darkens at the wear points (the buckle hole you use most, the bend through the loop) and lightens where it flexes. After a year, the belt has a unique patina that maps to how YOU wear it. After five years, it's heirloom-grade. The first scuff is the worst it'll ever look.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry cloth as needed. Condition every 6 months with a quality full-grain leather conditioner. If wet, blot dry and air-dry naturally. Avoid prolonged direct sun or extreme heat.
Is it water-resistant?
Light splashes are fine. The leather has natural water resistance. It is not waterproof, so don't soak it. If it gets caught in heavy rain, blot with a soft cloth and let it air-dry naturally. Do not apply heat (no hairdryers, no radiators).

What does the lifetime warranty cover?
